Let’s talk about network marketing,also known as multilevel marketing or MLM. If you’re in the MLM world,maybe you have used Instagram totry to sell more of your products,but you’re just not seeing a return. I get a lot of questions about how touse Instagram as a network marketer,so today I’m answering some ofthe most common questions I get,plus sharing three pillars to successto using Instagram for your networkmarketing business. If you’ve ever struggled with knowingwhat to post on Instagram for your MLMbusiness without feeling cringy or spammy,you’re in the right place because todayI’m going to share how you can useInstagram to grow your MLMbusiness and grow your team too. What I’m about to share with you hasworked for my student Yulia who is anetwork marketer and she told me this,I find Insta really useful to myMLM biz. It really helps me sell. Stories in particular are great for it. I get people buying from myStories and posts all the time. And Insta is one of my sales channelsand part of my customer journey. There’s a stigma around the MLMterm, but if you do it well,plus the products are good,people don’t mind it’s an MLM bizand they respond well to Instagram. I’m Elise Darma and I’ve helped thousandsof entrepreneurs like yourself useInstagram to actually grow your businessand today I’m covering how to useInstagram for network marketing. Let’s dive in to the three pillarsof success as a network marketer onInstagram. The first pillaris to create relationships. Your network is your net worth, andthis has never been truer than for MLMs. Realize that as a network marketer,your job is to do just that networkand grow a community on Instagram. How do you do this? The keyis to have conversations. Set time aside in your schedule for whenyou are going to reply to Stories orcomment on posts or respond toany direct messages you get. Even for MLMs, all roads leadto the DMs, the direct messages. That’s generally where saleshappen and luckily for you,I’ve covered this topic in depth,this video right here. Go ahead,check it out and learn how to usethe direct messages to close sales. The second pillar to growing on Instagramas a network marketer is branding. So I recommend to my students when you’rebuilding an Instagram profile to buildboth a personal brand anda product-based brand,but you have to make it clear that theproduct is helping you live the lifestylethat you’re showcasingthrough your personal brand. One common question I get aboutthis topic is this, Elise,because I’m selling both the productsand the business opportunity,do I have two targetmarkets? My quick answer, no,because the business opportunity isreally ideal for someone who’s alreadypassionate about the product andlifestyle that you’re selling. The second common questionI get is about niching. I have a hard time with the niche piecebecause I know everyone in the worldwill benefit from the products or thebusiness opportunity. Here’s the thing,you have to niche on Instagramif you want to stand out,’cause the truth is not everyone in theworld is going to be interested in yourbusiness opportunity. So I would really lead with nichingin on the person who’s going to beinterested in the product first and thenexpand to the opportunity and ideallyit’s the same audience. The lastpoint I’ll make about branding,which is the second pillar to yoursuccess as a network marketer,is to make sure your bio is on point. The bio is your first impressionto a potential new follower. So go ahead and check out this video herewhere I covered how to write a bio foryour business. The third pillar to selling on Instagramas a network marketer is content. Here’s the thing,you can’t just post a photo of youholding the product every couple days andexpect people to buy. I’m pretty sureyou’ll earn $0 dollars, so don’t do this. The first thing you want to do is findand follow the top earners who arealready in your company. Make sure you turn Instagram notificationson for when they post and get a sensefor how often they’re showing up onInstagram and what kind of content they’reposting. You’ll then want to mirror theirfrequency and follow in their footsteps. The next thing to remember about yourcontent is it needs to be relevant to yourviewer. Relevant,valuable content on Instagram needsto be inspirational, educational,or entertaining. I find that most people who arenetwork marketers want to just educate,which is fine, but it can geta little boring for the viewer. Your brand as a network marketeris more about your lifestyle,so give a full 360 look at yourlife, not just the products you sell. Remember that people will buy fromthose that they know, like and trust. So if your Instagram feed shows you livingyour best life and it’s relatable toyour target follower,then it’s going to become a no-brainerfor them to take the next step and trythe product. Here’s the other thing:If you can focus on the benefits of theproducts versus just the features of theproducts themselves,then it becomes a much more easy andnatural for your followers to send youmessages like, OMG how did you do that?or, How did you get your skin so clear?I really recommend to use video tohighlight the benefits of your products,so show demos, show vlogs ofyourself, be real. Be raw. Video is key for network marketing. You’ll also want to make use ofInstagram’s features including highlights,so highlights are a great place forpeople to get to know you very quickly. Almost like the navigationmenu of your website,and you also want to usehashtags strategically sothat people are finding youfor your lifestyle content. Now,last thing I’ll say about thethird pillar, which is content. If you really want to takeyour MLM business seriously,I highly recommend for you to show upin your Instagram Stories at least threetimes a day. You can alwaysbe showcasing your product,engaging with your audience,answering questions that you get orjust showing your lifestyle that yourproduct gives you. Ready for my list of non-spammy contentideas for your feed or your Stories sothat you can stop stressingand start posting? Here we go. The first idea is behind the scenes whichyou can share in your Stories or yourfeed. You can also host a giveaway or a contestto drive more eyeballs to your feed. The third idea is to share afill-in-the-blank sentence,so you go ahead and start a sentenceand ask your followers to finish it. Next idea is of course aproduct spotlight, so again,use your videos to really showcase howyour product is used or if you want it tobe next level,another content idea that you canuse is just making a how-to video,how to actually use your productor apply it in their life. You can also shareget-to-know-me type content. So really where you share your personalstory and how this product helped youovercome a challenge in your life. You can also share user generated content,so if any one of your customers or anyoneon your team has created content thatshows them using the product, youcan go ahead and share that, too. The next idea is sharingtips related to your niche,your brand or your company. Here you want to make sure you’regetting specific to your product and yourtarget demographic. The nextidea is seasonal content,so as holidays happen or events,make sure you’re adapting either howyou’re using your product or how you’retalking about it according tothe season that people are in. So if it’s Christmas season,talk about how great yourproduct would be as a gift. The next idea is lifestyle,showcasing how your product fits intoyour health and fitness life or yourfamily life or just as one of yourhobbies, however it fits into your life. Make sure you’re highlighting this. The next idea is testimonials. Whenever you have a happy customerreview, make sure you’re sharing that. The next idea is a freeresource that you’ve made. Maybe you have created your own spinoff the products and you want to sharepeople how you use itpersonally. Whatever you’ve made,if it’s a free resource for yourfollowers, make sure you’re sharing it. And lastly,another content idea is tohost an ask me anything. So you can do this through an InstagramLive or using the question sticker inyour Instagram Stories, butopen it up to your audience. Allow them to drop any question to youand go ahead and answer every single one.
